Macka Diamond’s "Cow Foot" Goes to Toronto

Dancehall fans in Toronto, Canada will get chance to ‘soak up’ their portion of Macka Diamond’s ‘Cow Foot’ when she introduces the locally popular track to them. The event date is May 13th at the Home Nite Club and will also feature performances by Mr. Lex and Ward 21. Macka is also booked to perform in Edmonton and Vancouver May 14th and 15th where the promoter expects favourable support and cites that, “the shows are causing a big hype in both cities.’

On her return to Jamaica, Macka looks forward to hanging with fans at the weekly social interactive ‘Cow Foot’ inspired series of events. Namely, Cow Foot Fridays held at Comfort Zone in Christian Penn, Portmore, Footing (Foot-In) Mondays held in Waltham Park, Kingston, Cow Foot Sundays held off Spanish Town Road and Mi Foot Thursday in Old Harbour

Last Friday Macka Diamond’s twitter was buzzing with excitement and she tweeted about the artistes in attendance at Cow Foot Fridays; her Blackberry (bb) messenger broadcasted messages sending shout outs to Sizzla Kolanji, Shawn Storm, Unicorn, Ghandi, Ricki General and Shelly Belly to name a few as well as resident selector Hottaball and the, “Cow Foot” girls.

He returns with his new hit single Let It Pop ft Esco da shocker giving listeners a splash of Pop spiked with a heavy hand of Regaee, fusing into the perfect crossover Record. Mr lexx also features Nuvo in his up coming Video Let It Pop. Let it Pop featuring Esco is a return to the sexy edge that made Lexx a lady favorite including a Nuvo style Wet T- shirt scene. Major Lazer, Mr Lexx and Santigold video earns MTV And VMA nomination

Mainstream success has long escaped dancehall artiste Mr Lexx (formerly Lexxus). However his recent collaboration Hold the Line in which he teams up with Major Lazer and Santigold, might just be the key to unlock the bolted doors.

The animated video for Hold the Line has been nominated in the Breakthrough Video category of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Major Lazer is a fictional cartoon character, who according to press releases fought as a Jamaican commando who lost his arm in a secret zombie war in 1984. He fights vampires and various monsters, parties hard, and has a rocket powered skateboard. Made up of DJs Diplo and Switch, the two were introduced after working with M.I.A..

The duo's first album, Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do was released on June 16, 2009 on Downtown Records. It was recorded here in Jamaica at Tuff Gong Studios. Guests including Santigold, Vybz Kartel, Ward 21, Busy Signal, Nina Sky, Amanda Blank, Mr. Vegas, Turbulence, Mapei, T.O.K, Prince Zimboo, Leftside and others contribute to the album.

It also features additional production from Afro Jack and Crookers. This is the first release to come out of the label partnership between Downtown Records and Diplo's label Mad Decent.
