Shanice Williams, Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014 Visits Jamaica for Magazine Shoot and Special Appearances

n Thursday, May 22nd, Beauty Queen Shanice Williams, Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014, Digicel TCI’s newest Brand Ambassador and Saint George Fashion House Muse Model will travel to Kingston, Jamaica to enjoy five days of amazing activities arranged by Nirvana Magazine.

The Queen will be photographed for the cover and a five page fashion spread of Nirvana Magazine’s upcoming issue. Nirvana Magazine appeals to all audiences with an affinity for the Caribbean. This financially secured and aspirant audience appreciates life’s best things and all things fashion.

The publication enjoys placements in stores, airlines, first class airport lounges, private banking and wealth management offices and other placements that receive high traffic from their targeted audience. The aim of Nirvana Magazine is to become the leading authority on fashion, luxury and lifestyle across the Caribbean and to give readers the ultimate Caribbean lifestyle, luxury and fashion experience.

On April 26th, Shanice Williams, who wore the sash Miss Grand Turk won in spectacular style ahead of First Runner Up Codee Coalbrooke, Miss South Caicos and Second Runner Up Todeline Defralien, Miss Middle Caicos. Williams also won Miss Intellect, Best in Swimsuit/Best Body, Best Evening Gown, Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic. She is already labeled as a front runner at the 2014 Miss Universe Pageant by pageant experts.

Whilst traveling throughout many parishes of Jamaica, the Queen who will be accompanied by Pageant President Kazz Forbes will spend the majority of her time in Kingston and Montego Bay making appearances and attending TV and radio interviews. On Saturday, May 24th, Shanice Williams will host Electric Life, a DJ party featuring Jamaica’s DJ Kamal Bankay, DJ Vice and DJ Rusti at Bluebeat Ultra Lounge owned by Margaritaville.

Travel to Jamaica is provided by InterCaribbean Airways. InterCaribbean Airways is the official airline of the Miss Universe Turks and Caicos Pageant. Accommodation is provided by Iberostar Resort, and transportation by Kingston Industrial Garage/FORD, through partnership with Nirvana Magazine.

On Friday, May 30th, the Miss Turks and Caicos Universe Beauty Organization (MTCUBO) will host Summer Bling ‘The Ultimate Summer Kickoff Party’ at Zanzi Lounge of Providenciales. The fundraising party will see entertainment by TCI’s Prime DJs, DJ Hoodie and DJ Shakes. Admission to the event is $20.00 an entry.

Shanice Williams is scheduled for a number of photo and video shoots, appearances and TV and radio interviews at home and abroad. Shanice Williams Is Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014

T

he Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014 was recently held and twenty one year old Shanice Williams won the title, at the Brayton Hill in Providenciales.

Shanice who wore the sash Miss Grand Turk won in spectacular style ahead of 1st Runner up Codee Coalbrooke, Miss South Caicos and 2nd Runner up Todeline Defralien, Miss Middle Caicos.

She also won Miss Intellect, Best in Swimsuit, Best Evening Gown, Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic.

Other contestants of the ‘Sassy Six’ were Gabreann Capron, Miss Salt Cay; Tashy Forbes, Miss North Caicos; and Shante Williams, Miss Providenciales

Shanice is the newest Digicel TCI Brand Ambassador and will represent her island country in Miss Universe 2014 pageant whose date and venue have not been confirmed.

Miss Universe TCI Pageant National Events Takes Center Stage

ith just a few weeks away from the staging of the 2014 Miss Universe Turks and Caicos Pageant National Events; the anticipation and excitement is now reaching its highest as sponsors, special guests, participants and supporters prepare to be in attendance.

In the interim, voting continues for the Miss Popularity Competition. Fans can vote for their favourite contestants by visiting www.MissTCI.org and selecting the voting option. The Miss Popularity Competition is one that the contestant with the most photo likes on their actual official pageant photograph, posted in a photo album on the pageant’s Facebook Fan Page (www.facebook.com/missturksandcaicos) wins.

 

The ladies vying for the Turks and Caicos Islands’ coveted and most esteemed title in its premier fashion and beauty competition are: Gabreann Capron, Miss Salt Cay; Codee Coalbrooke, Miss South Caicos; Todeline Defralien, Miss Middle Caicos; Tashy Forbes, Miss North Caicos; Shanice Williams, Miss Grand Turk and Shante Williams, Miss Providenciales.

The Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014 Pageant National Events will take place April 24th to the 26th.  They are as follow:

Contestants’ Grand Motorcade: April 24th, 3:00pm from the TCI Tourist Board’s Office to Island Fish Fry, the Sassy Six, sponsors and fans will take part in a grand motorcade cheering on the contestants. At Island Fish Fry, the contestants will make an on-stage introduction and join in with the evening’s festivities.

Preliminary Competitions – April 25th, 6:00pm at Brayton Hall. Hosted by Bianca Harvey and Jerome Sawyer, the contestants will compete in swimwear, national costume and a talent round. Admission: General $50.00 – VIP $100.00. Attire: Smart Casual. 

Final Competitions & Coronation – April 26th, 6:00pm at Brayton Hall. Hosted by Angela Freites and Jerome Sawyer, the contestants will show off themselves in swimwear and national costumes. They will compete for best evening gown and in a final question round. The evening will see an array of talents, the honoring of a former Miss Universe Turks and Caicos titleholder, awards and prize giving and the Coronation of Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014. Admission: General $75.00 – VIP $150.00. Attire: Semi Formal. 

After Party – April 26th, 11:00pm at Zanzi Lounge. Pageant attendees will celebrate with Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014, her predecessor, guest of honor, prize winners, special guests and sponsors. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Shakes and Prime DJs. Admission $20.00.

Tickets to the competitions are limited and sold at Digicel and FOTTAC in Providenciales and at Wally’s Restaurant in Grand Turk.

An array of mind-blowing local talents will perform during the 2014 national events and after party. The entertainment line includes: Blinga/Orane of Blakout Ent., the Breezy Beach Dancers, Brentford Handfield, Carl Lewis, Chrystal Charles, Craig Archibold, David Been, Edwardson Jean, Indra Harvey, Khambreal Garland, Dancers Lucy and Leo, O’brien Forbes, Robyn Hinds, R.I.G. The winner will walk away with a host of high valued prizes and dominate the local scene as the cultural, beauty, fashion and goodwill ambassador of the Turks and Caicos Islands and compete in the Miss Universe 2014 Pageant.

As of 2012 the Miss Turks and Caicos Universe Beauty Organization (MTCUBO) produces and manages the pageant events and titleholders under the direction of Kazz Forbes/Saint George Fashion House, in partnership with the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board.

MTCUBO’s goal is to advance and support women of the Turks and Caicos Islands while promoting passion for pageantry with a purpose. By creating an environment that is conducive for learning through training, exploring, researching and discovering myriad experiences, contestants and titleholders are challenged to bring out their personal best.

The exhilarating journey to coronation is designed to encourage the pursuit of purpose, promote discipline, and support the strengthening of character. Each experience, be it a physical task, an intellectual assignment or social engagement seeks to cultivate the passions, self-image, and education that will prepare contestants to compete on an international stage and provide quality representation to the Turks and Caicos Islands.

2014 Miss Turks and Caicos Pageant Official Events Announced

s a bevy of beauties prepare to be unveiled and compete for the most coveted and esteemed title of the Turks and Caicos Islands, the Miss Turks and Caicos Universe Beauty Organization (MTCUBO) could not be more enthusiastic about the ongoing transformation and re-branding of the Miss Universe Turks and Caicos Beauty Pageant events and is thankful to the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands, their partners and supporters.

“We are extremely proud of the manner in which Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2013, Snwazna Adams represented us in Moscow, Russia, at the 2013 Miss Universe Pageant. Even though she did not bring home the crown, she represented our islands with grace and awarded us with a very strong comeback to the international competition. MTCUBO boast of an amazing board and I applaud each and every board member for their skills and dedication that go into producing our events, carrying out or mandate and achieving our goal in celebrating our Queens and empowering our women of these islands” said President Kazz Forbes.

Under the direction of Saint George Fashion House (SGFH) in partnership with the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board; MTCUBO aim is to advance and support today's beautiful by nature ladies while promoting passion for pageantry with a purpose. Commencing March 26th – 29th, MTCUBO will see the addition of Turks and Caicos Islands Fashion Week; a stage for cultural expression, TCIFW celebrates the work of fashion artists, craftspeople and other creators with an effervescence all its own. All contestants are required to walk the runways of TCIFW’s Grand Runway Fashion Show “the grand finale” on March 29th at Brayton Hall, Providenciales.

Miss Turks and Caicos Beauty Pageant National Events of 2014 will take place April 24th – 26th with a grand contestants and partners motorcade on the Thursday, the 24th; and an exciting two nights of competitions on Friday, the 25th and Saturday, the 26th at Brayton Hall, Providenciales. A schedule of events leading up to the coronation of Miss Universe Turks and Caicos 2014 will soon be announced.

To date, the Miss Turks and Caicos 2014 Pageant partners are the Turks and Caicos Tourist Board, Saint George Fashion House, Beaches Resort Villages and Spa., Digicel TCI, Power 92.5FM, Kiss 102.5FM and Everything TCI.

MISS TCI UNIVERSE 2013, SNWAZNA ADAMS LENDS A HELPING HAND

The recently crowned MissTurks and Caicos Universe beauty queen Snwazna Adams is doing what she loves best; working with the youth. 


For several weeks Snwazna Adams, a teacher at the Clement Howell High School has been serving as pageant coach, facilitating training and grooming sessions with the students at the Oseta Jolly Primary School of Blue Hills for its upcoming pageant. 

“It is an exciting learning experience working with the young children of the Oseta Jolly Primary School. They learn very quickly and are very enthusiastic about the upcoming competition. It is so nice to see them having so much fun and learning from one another, while I am learning from them. Each of their personalities is so different which makes this experience more pleasurable and exciting. I am very happy to be a part of this event” said the excited beauty queen, Snwazna Adams. 

The Miss and Mr. Oseta Jolly Primary pageant will be held at the Marantha Auditorium, 7:00pm on Thursday, May 30th,
