Jah Vinci Debuts Album - "Ghetto Born"

“Ghetto Born”, the socially critical and exceptional debut album, by the internationally acclaimed  Dancehall/Reggae superstar, Jah Vinci, is already in high demand and is in stores worldwide and available via iTunes and all major distribution mediums.

Featuring  a dynamic  blend of musical mix and lyrics focused on key social issues in each track, this album will be  available on iTunes and at all major digital/physical retail outlets shortly thereafter.

The foundation for its resounding success has been firmly established  by  the  outstanding producer,  Khabir Bonner of Grillaras Productions who is well-known for his recent projects, Lutan Fyah "Life of a King" and the Beenie Man single featuring Cecile-"Thug Love".

The video for “Thug Love” was debuted on BET networks by the "Dancehall King" himself.

Executive producers,  Tariq Kamau "Nashi" Smith & Xavier "Bless X" Prendergast of Kamau Music initiated and played a key role in the development of this album and in  conjunction with Zojak World Wide as co-label/distributor  will continue to be vital throughout  this process.

It focuses on the hardships which “ghetto youths” face such as crime, violence, major deficiencies in the justice system, poverty and the involvement in politics.  Out of those hardships, a star is born to transcend those barriers and rise to tremendous success.

Jah Vinci Performed To A Huge Crowd at Ghana’s Independence Celebrations

ntent on leaving an indelible mark in 2014, Triple Dose recording artiste Jah Vinci was nothing short of brilliant at a recent concert on the African continent.  Dubbed the ‘All Star Live Series’, the 14th staging held at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana on Saturday, March 8th saw the ‘Watch Yuh Friends’ singer attracting over 20,000 fans in the Ghanaian capital as part of their 57th Independence celebration.

Despite being his inaugural visit to the continent, it was hard to discern as Jah Vinci quickly adapted to the local culture and delivered a scintillating set as patrons within the capacity-filled venue showered bountiful adulation on the melodic crooner. Other commendable performances came courtesy of Ghanian stars: Shatta Wale, Samini, Stonebwoy and Jamaican comrade Popcaan.

Prior to the show Jah Vinci  made stops at a number of local media outlets disseminating his latest updates ; recorded two collaborations titled  ‘Party Time’ and ‘Happiness’ with Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy respectively an official video was also shot for the latter.  The sojourn culminated with a visit to the inner-city community of Nima accompanied by a heavy motorcade of security detailing as well-wishers came out in their hordes to get a glimpse of the Jamaican star.

In a release to the media Jah Vinci says, “I had a great time in Africa; the trip was a pleasant experience that reaffirmed the fact that good music has no boundaries. I want to thank everyone that came out and showed support and just look for great things from Jah Vinci in 2014.”

Back on local soil, Jah Vinci  is currently in studio working assiduously on his upcoming album while promoting his latest singles ‘All When’ and ‘Nobody Knows’ an official video has also been released for the aforementioned. Additional releases will be forthcoming courtesy of SoUnique Records, BlackSpyda and noted music distributor Johnny Wonder of Hapilos 21st.

Ryno and JahVinci Ignites Club Riddim Official Launch

Last Thursday, at the official launch of ‘Yaad Swag Thursdays’, at the newly reopened Club Riddim, formerly ‘The Building’. Ex-gaza members Ryno and Jah Vinci left tongues wagging after the two hit the stage in the wee hours of Friday morning with an impromptu performance much to the delight of the fans.

Leading the charge was Jah Vinci, who thanked patrons for their loyalty and continued support before segueing into the popular hit ‘Feel A Way’ on the England Town Riddim  featuring Ryno. With an attentive audience on hand a partially disguised Ryno emerged from his entourage and began singing his verse of the popular collaboration as patrons clamoured to the front of the stage to get a glimpse/touch of the talented singers.

One male patron commented, “bwoy the club feel different and lighter” as he observed the newly designed black and white mural on the walls. “Good to see the yutes dem a reunite a dat we want see inna music.” – he added.

Musical stylings were provided by popular street jocks Jigsy and Chris Dymond, both of whom took patrons on a journey through the 80s up to present as they danced the night away.

Several noted members of the entertainment fraternity were present at the launch including: ZJ Wah Wa and the Darkcide International family, Foota Hype, Cutty from Coppershot Disco, West Indies Cricketer Dwayne Bravo veteran selector Ricky Trooper and street prodigy Ghetto Bomb among others.

Meanwhile, Garrison recording artiste Ryno makes final preparations for his 2011 European stint, Jah Vinci is expected to grace the stage at this year’s Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay.
