Just days after premiering a music video for his popular song ‘Stars R Us’ on the Happy Daze Rhythm, the singjay opted to head back in studio and do a complete remake of the song in honor of Jamaica’s Olympic Team. Melloquence says he felt the need to do something for the team since the team has done so much for the people of Jamaica thus far. “It’s only right that we do something in support of our athletes, after all, they have made us (Jamaicans) home and abroad so proud, I can’t tell when was the last time mi hear everybody a anticipate an event like how mi see them a look to the Olympics, Team Jamaica alone can do that, big up Bolt, Shelly and the whole team, stars are us” Melloquence confidently said.

The tribute was released on the internet Saturday evening shortly after Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Veronica Campbell Brown’s triumph in the women’s 100m, and it instantly got the attention of radio disk jocks, leading to it being be premiered on Zip 103 Fm just hours after release by resident disk jock, ZJ Dymond.

According to the radio presenter who has been rotating the original song for the past month or so, one can obviously hear the pride and patriotism in the remake. ‘It’s a song any dj or selector would feel proud playing and mi know the athletes ago love it too, in other words it fully charge.’ Dymond expressed.

Melloquence’s publicist confirmed that the song is just a gesture of appreciation from the artiste, and therefore will not be available for purchase. Instead, the public can download it free from Melloquence’s Facebook fan page, (Facebook.com/MelloquenceFans) or email Mediaworthy.pr@gmail.com for a copy.
