The Amore rhythm was inspired by the current
trend of lovers rock beats impacting the reggae scene not only locally but
overseas.
In a release to the media, Hanson explained
the idea behind the project.
‘After producing various rhythms it became
apparent that lovers rock is taking overthe world. Shady and I dug deep to
produce this project because we felt the artistes would be inspired to write
great love songs”, Hanson stated.
The project contains a delicious mix of appetizing
treats from established as wellas up and coming acts.
Reggae crooner Ginjah contributes Gimmie Your Love,
while Sizzla is back with Love Connection. Former Digicel Rising Stars
winner Brown Shuga sings about her Greatest Love, while current chart
topper Nature places emphasis on Woman of My Dreams.
Falling in Love by Turbulence, Just to Be with You
by British reggae singer Lady Lex, Love Choice by newcomer Aima Moses, Keep You
Warm by male singjay SK,Simply Girl by Canadian based reggae crooner Tony
Anthony, Playa by singer Erasto, Karma by deejay Colton T and Second Place by
Khago complete the tracklist.
According to Hanson, the mix of established
acts and newcomers was a strategic move.
‘We planned it that way. We wanted to
openthe doors for the new generation of artistes that are mastering their craft’,said
Hanson.
Hanson revealed that the project took a little
over a year to complete. This is the latest in a line of productions from
the Donsome Records imprint. The label had previously issued one drop reggae
projects including Life Journey, Hard Rock, Crime Stop and the Mr. Brown
rhythms.
The label is getting ready to re-release the Live
Wire, Skank and Solidarity rhythm projects.
Comparing this latest project with his previous
releases, Hanson pointed out that the Amore is in a class of its own.
“Every person whether single or involved with
someone romantically, can fully enjoythis project. This beat gives you the urge
to find someone to love, so I know alot of babies will be conceived after
listening to these songs”, he said jokingly.
The Amore rhythm compilation album will be
available on ITunes, Amazon, Emusic and other online stores as of August 21.
