It was a rewarding weekend for Rapper J-Rich who has been in Jamaica for about a month promoting his single, Love and Joy featuring Warrior King. Stopping over in the cool southern parish of Manchester with family, the Canadian came into Kingston on invitation to perform at the African Liberation Day concert with Warrior King held on campus of the University of Science and Technology, UTECH last Saturday May 25. Heavy rains which fell late in the afternoon just minutes before the 4pm scheduled event and a last minute decision by the organisers to relocate indoors from the original venue could not dampen the high spirits of fans. When reggae stalwart Warrior King introduced the 23 year old rapper during his set a confident J-Rich did not disappoint the crowd and later said at that moment, "I could really see that people knew the song and those who hadn't heard it before were really tuned in wanted to know what it was about."

Before his performance J-Rich watched locals performed and enjoy it he said, "I had time to see so many talented artists perform before me, overall Saturday's performances were a great experience." The same sentiments were shared among fans as a few took to twitter to share their opinion, one tweet read:-

Early Sunday morning following his Saturday performance, J-Rich and Warrior King graced the stage of the Sugar Minott Memorial concert held at Youth Man Promotions studio complex in Kingston. He took notice of the 'packed venue' and according to him, "the vibes were on point, it felt like Minott's energy was flowing through the place and feeding every performer that hit the stage" and when the Toronto native had his moment he said, "when Warrior and I performed I felt a rush from the love the crowd was showing and I really felt at home." The Sugar Minott Memorial Concert saw an outpouring of popular Jamaican International Reggae artistes such as Queen Ifrika, Everton Blender, Lutan Fyah, Jimmy Riley and Cocoa Tea.

Now J-Rich looks forward to use this experience to fuel any other performances he does in Jamaica.

Rapper J-Rich and Warrior King's latest single, "Love and Joy" has been getting some very good reviews since its release. One radio host believes the song, "has a good feel about it, wither other words, good song, good combi with Warrior King, classic riddim to suit it."

Consistent with the young Toronto native's intent of, "leaving a favourable impression on those who have come to hear" his music, J-Rich who is currently in Jamaica promoting the song, has shot and released a video for the track with Warrior King and is up and about promoting it, making appearances on local television, cable and radio shows across Kingston.

This smooth Hip-Hop/Reggae song produced by Jam 2 son of 80s king of digital production in Jamaica Lloyd 'King Jammys" James, has already empowered a community that was divided for years in dispute. Although not brand new, the positive vibe of the song can never be enough to transmit into the minds of those who seek this type of consciousness to carry them through their days.
