Shakira Martin Representing Jamaica at the Miss Caraibes Hibiscus Pageant 2013

Shakira Martin is currently in St.Maarten representing Jamaica in the Miss Caraibes Hibiscus pageant. The pageant runs from November 28 until December 8th. Jamaica last won this pageant in 1993, when Rachel Stuart walked away with the title.


Shakira represented Jamaica in the Miss Universe pageant in 2011. She will take this experience to the pageant and is confident of doing well.

 

She has done research on the pageant and believes she would be a great spokesperson for the pageant. She also loves the opportunity of travelling to various countries.  The winner of the pageant will travel to countries in the region and overseas marketing the Caribbean.

Shakira is passionate about raising an awareness of Sickle Cell Anemia and raising funds to assist persons fighting the disease.

 

Miss Caraibes Hibiscus is an annual International beauty pageant for all countries of the Caribbean and the Americas. It was founded in 1990 in the French part of Saint Martin.
