At the Fairmont Southampton last night (Aug 19),
ten young ladies vied for the Miss Teen Bermuda 2012 crown and 17-year-old Zaire Bean walked
with the title.
Kwame Harris won first runners up and the sectional
award for Miss Sweet Charity while Alicia Kirby walked away with third place.
Zaire a Berkeley Institute student
also won the Miss Teen Super Model, and was the first runner up for the Sweet
Charity award. Savannah Ramatar won the Miss Photogenic award, Tiahana Booth
won the Miss Talent, Stevantae McCallan won the Miss Personal Style and the
Rose Hart capped the Miss Congeniality award.
As the winner of the pageant, Zaire will
receive a trip to St Kitts to participate in the Miss Talented Teen Pageant, an
official wardrobe by Clara Bows boutique, one-year membership at Olympic Club,
a $500 cash prize and more.
The contestants entertained the audience with a dance to the music of Whitney Houston, along with multiple power point presentations showing earlier rounds of the competition.
