"Unga" of Notice Production reaping major success on Billboard Reggae chart

After scoring major hits with Ding Dong & Chevaughn’s ‘Holiday’,  Future Fambo’s ‘This Life’ and the remix with Mavado;  music producer Wayne Thompson better known as‘Unga’ once again has something to smile about.

The Notice Production head honcho and accomplished producer is reaping major success with his latest effort the ‘Heart & Soul’ rhythm, featured on Busy Signal’s current album ‘Reggae Music Again’. The album recently nabbed the top 10 spot on the U.S. Billboard Reggae chart and features notable efforts such as Kingston Town, Modern Day Slavery and Come Over (Missing You) the latter produced by Unga.

Accompanied by an official video ‘Come Over (Missing You) [watch video]’ impressively racked up in excess of one million (1,000,000+) views on Youtube which Jah Cure’s ‘From My Heart’ following suit with over Three Hundred Thousand (300,000+)  views [see stats] .  Other acts on the compilation includes: Chuck Fenda, Hezron, Chris Martin, Richie Loops, Further Notice, Chevaughn and Swedish singer Million Styles.

“This is another great accomplishment for our music and I would like to thank everyone who was instrumental in the project. It is this kind of effort that we need as a collective body to push the local genres more on the international markets” – Unga explained.

Unga was recently honoured for his accomplishments at the Hapilos 21stDigital Distribution Awards earlier this year.

As temperatures soar and the festive season approaches this production powerhouse will be releasing a new project appropriately titled the ‘Sun Hot’ rhythm.  Aptly named because the beat resonates that summer feel-good-vibe with inherent traits of dancehall throughout. The carefully crafted composition features; Gyptian, Christopher Martin, Demarco, Bugle, Munga, Chi Ching Ching, Andrew & Wada Blood, Chevaughn and newcomers Bastik and Cronixx.

According to Unga, “The Sun Hot rhythm is our latest project, we have a distinctive sound and that is what we are aiming to bring across with this latest effort. Something that connects locally but still has that international appeal”.

The compilation will become available on iTunes and other digital platforms later this month.
