Thriller writer "Rick Murcer" loves using Caribbean as the background for his novels

Rick Murcer
Born in Michigan Rick Murcer writes thrillers that feature the Caribbean as the background for his novels. Although not an Islander by birth, Rick love for the Caribbean inspires his writing as seen in his newest release, Caribbean Rain,  which takes place in San Juan and features beautiful El Junque.

In Caribbean Rain, three fathers and three daughters take central stage amid the lush backdrop of an island paradise. The first two fathers are frustrated in their efforts to communicate with their daughters, and to keep them safe. The father/daughter relationship as a theme is subtle. The violent murders of a madman on the loose are anything but subtle (warning: blood and gore). The saving grace comes in the third father/daughter relationship--that of FBI profiler, Manny Williams, and his daughter, Jennifer. It's a relief to see "normal" and leaves the reader with the feeling that, yes, a father and daughter can have a loving, compassionate understanding of one another, in all kinds of trials and circumstances.

His books are fast paced, scary, but also contain a good bit of humor.  There's also a horrible (and I mean disgusting) bad guy that everyone loves to hate.  At least I hate him--makes me cringe!

In 2011 his first novel, Caribbean Moon, earned rank on the USA Today bestseller's list. Caribbean Moon is about a serial killer on board a cruise ship, but it also features different islands in the Caribbean.

Rick has also written other novels including Deceitful Moon, Emerald Moon, Capital Murder and the Killing Sands and has sold over 300,000 e-books . He is one of only two dozen authors to sell over 200,000 e-books through Kindle Direct Publishing.

Murcer is currently working on  his next novel, Carolina Rain.

Rick Murcer's writing is beyond fantastic. Downloaded his first book to take on a Caribbean Cruise. Actually, was very happy I did not have a chance to read it while on the cruise ship. LOL After I got home, could not stop reading his books. Looking forward to the next one.
