Female Dancehall Deejay Patra to release album this Summer

After being away from the spot light in nearly decade Dancehall Great Patra is heading for a comeback, after dominating the 90's, with hits such as Worker Man, Romantic Call, Dip and Fall Back and Scent of Attraction.

Patra is currently working on a 12 -track album in New York City , with new Manager . A&R Executive/ Producer Rich Nice , to be released this summer.


In 2003 Patra released an album "The Great Escape" and "Where I’ve Been"in 2005


In an interview with the Jamaica Observer Patra said "I have turned down several shows, so it was not a matter of me not getting calls for events. I was tired and suffering from depression as I wanted to get out of my contract and, to me, the process was crawling,"

Being away from the spotlight has helped Patra to have a  more spiritually connection with God and has allowed her complete her Bachelor's Degree in history and political science.

Patra promises fans a return of the hardcore, rough edge persona which made her a household name nearly two decades ago, intimating that 2012 will see her evolution come to fruition.
