Kerry Moxam has done it again! This beauty was selected to represent Jamaica at the 11th staging of the Miss Earth. Miss Earth is the third largest pageant in the world. The finals is scheduled to be held on December 3, 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand.
An executive casting was held at the Ocean 21 Restaurant, 7 Grosvenor Terrace, Kingston 8. After large numbers of applications were received; the contestants met with a panel of judges. They were then allowed to speak to the audience about their environmental platform and showed off their evening wear. The judges were impressed with the contestant's environmental knowledge but crucial for the judges was the winner's ability to do well on the international stage. After examining all the international requirements the judges were most impressed with Kerry Moxam and she was announced as Miss Earth Jamaica 2011. Jody Shaw was first runner up and Natasha Brown second runner up.

Kerry Moxam is no stranger to beauty pageants having placed first runner-up in the 2010 Miss Jamaica World Pageant as well as the Beach Beauty winner. She has the distinction of placing 8th at the Miss Intercontinental in 2010.
Kerry is on a path of writing her name in history. This is because Jamaica has never won or place at Miss Earth. She is proud of the opportunity to be an ambassador to Thailand and to sell Jamaica to billions of viewers around the world.
This beauty hails from the parish of St. Elizabeth; she recently completed her degree at the University of the West Indies. This beauty queen without a doubt also has the smarts as she was the proud recipient of a scholarship to study at Hampton High School as well as a scholarship to pursue her first degree in New York. She wants every Jamaican to embrace our environmental responsibility and to support her in her recycling, coastal protection and clean up projects seriously. She is passionate about spreading that message from our schools to the government level; "this is something I am truly passionate about, not because it is what is required but its something I want to do wholeheartedly. I grew up along the coastal shores of St Elizabeth so I know the adverse effects of neglecting and not protecting our beaches"
