The Caribbean region’s biggest fashion, lifestyle and entertainment event, CFW (Caribbean Fashion Week) returns to the National Indoor Sports Centre, in Kingston, Jamaica, June 6-10. The 5 day, 5 night fashion and music extravaganza features top designers from the Caribbean and the wider world, as well as supermodels, superstar performances, after parties, workshops and an Exhibition Hall for designers. The event promises to be the best and most exciting renewal of this landmark event, in its 13 year history.

A new feature, Ready for CFW, made-for-TV live event will feature emerging designers in the lead up to the main shows, with some being rewarded with prizes inclusive of the opportunity to show at CFW 2013.

Music superstars and fashionistas Kelly Rowland and Sheila E., will perform at CFW this year. One-third of the famed Destiny’s Child, Kelly is a solo artiste, girl group member and talent extraordinaire and is also one of the most successful female entertainers in history. She will present a full concert performance; with her dancers and back-up singers at CFW 2013.

Sheila E., famed for both her solo career as well as her role as the standout drummer in Prince’s band, will also perform a full concert backed by her band.

Pulse, an innovator in the fashion and entertainment industry in the Caribbean has been in existence for 33 years. The company has had the privilege of creating CFW, a successful production that has been the Caribbean fashion industry’s main stimulant for development. The main focus of CFW is to centralize international attention on the Caribbean’s talent, while also operating with stakeholders to construct numerous capacities and spawn business opportunities for Caribbean stylists. Each year CFW hosts approximately 50 designers from 20 participating countries. These designers have been featured in Vogue, The Associated Press, The Independent (London), Fashion TV Paris, The New York Times, i-D, The BBC and numerous other media worldwide. CFW has been a recipient of numerous awards and most importantly British Vogue has recognized the event as a pertinent and innovative development in world fashion.
