Gospel recording artiste Papa San, is set to release his fifth album titled ‘My Story’ on November 11.  The artiste who was recently signed  to Gospel Centric under the Zamaba Group, is set to go on tour in Europe, Africa and U.S.


"My Story" is a Papa San evolutions throughout his life experiences, life troubles and life victories. The project features Contemporary Christian music’s multi-award winning singer/songwriter Nicole C. Mullen on “Force Of Strength” and Grammy Nominated vocalist Trey Lorenz on the endearing ballad “Rescue Me”

Papa San’s show attracts big crowds In Uganda

Papa San’s gospel music show at Makerere University Sports Ground has attracted hundreds of revelers from all walks of life. San, Jamaica’s lyrical DJ is staging a three day gospel concert at Makerere University Sports Ground.

The show kicked off on the night of Friday October 9th and it will end on Sunday 11th 2009. San’s concert is dubbed ‘Independence Day’ retreat. It has attracted fans especially university students, lecturers and people from well to do families.

The Jamaica’s fastest lyrical speaking DJ is accompanied by about six instrumentalists and vocalists from United States of America. Fans who are adults are paying 10,000 shillings and children 5,000 shillings each to watch San’s moving shows. San last visited Uganda in 2006. The DJ is the person behind More Life, Strange, Good Love and Step Pon Di Enemy fame among others.

Papa San takes it to Higher Heights

Gospel deejay Papa San debuts onto the Billboard Reggae album chart with his fourth gospel offering Higher Heights. The 18 track disc enters the chart at number four making it his fourth entry on that chart.

Released in 2008, Higher Heights is on the Habakkuk label. Tracks include Inna The Ghetto, Prayer, Disaster, More Love, Church House and Its All Over.

Higher Heights is Papa San's best showing on the Billboard Reggae album chart todate. His previous sets Victory, God and I and Real Personal peaked at numbers five, eight and eight respectively.

Prior to venturing into gospel, Papa San led an illustrious career in secular music. Of the dozens of hits on local and international reggae charts, he only managed to show up twice on the Billboard Dance Music Club Play chart, as a guest vocalist on David Morales' Gimmie Luv and Program.
