Four Caribbean Beauties Among Top 10 for Miss World Online Voting

Tomorrow a new MissWorld will be crowned in Bali and some of our Caribbean beauties are doing exceptionally well in the online voting. The winner will automatically advance to the top 6.


So far, Miss Dominica, Miss Mexico, Miss British Virgin Islands and Miss Aruba are among the top 10 from the Caribbean  in the run for the spot.

The beauty with the most votes will be declared the People’s Champion, and regardless of the points she has on the board, she will go straight into the climatic finale!

Voting closes at 20:30 (GMT+8) on the 28th of September, with the announcement to come at 21:30.

The presenters of this year’s competition will be Jennifer Reoch and Kamal Ibrahim.

Three Caribbean Contestants In The Top Twelve Miss World Talent Competition

Three Caribbean contestants are among the top twelve Miss World talent finalists; Miss Dominica Leslassa Armour-Shillingford, Miss British Virgin Islands Kirtis Mallone and Miss Trinidad and Tobago Sherrece Villafana.

 

The twelve finalists are separated into three groups: singers, dancers and musicians. Miss Britishh Virgin Islands Kirtis Mallone made the singers group, Miss Dominica – Leslassa Armour-Shillingford, made the dancers group while Miss Trinidad & Tobago Sherrece Villafana made the musicians group.

The talent finals will be held this Sunday, September 22.

 

Over 131 contestants from around the world are vying for one of the most coveted international pageant crowns during the month long competition. The grand finale will be on Saturday 28th September in Bali,Indonesia.

Miss Dominica, Leslassa Armour-Shillingford Wins Miss Carival 2013

On Friday night at the annual Miss Carival Pageant which was held in St. Vincent, Miss Dominica, Leslassa Armour-Shillingford capped the title from a field of 10 contestants.

The Dominican beauty also won other sectional awards: the Miss Photogenic, Best Talent, Best Evening Wear and Best Interview.

 

The first runner-up position went to Zinga Ayesha Joharia Imoring of St Kitts and Nevis while Miss St. Vincent and the Grenadines Shara George, placed third and also captured the Best Swimsuit award

 

Other sectional award winner was Miss Dominican Republic Rosa Emelia Martinez Javier who won the other two awards - Most Community Spirited and Miss Congeniality.

Leslassa who is no stranger to the pageant world in May emerged first runner-up in the Miss Caribbean World pageant held in the British Virgin Island.

Other contestants of Miss Carival 2013 were: Miss Barbados Dannyele Teneel Leslie, Miss British Virgin Islands (BVI) Sharie Bianca Ylinda deCastro, Miss Jamaica Kabrena Latoya Robinson, Miss St. Lucia Janelle Desir, Miss St. Vincent & the Grenadines Shara George, Miss Trinidad & Tobago Jenelle Jenny Thongs and MissVenezuela Yaimer De Los Angeles Armes Macias.
