When Kurt Legacy dropped the single, 'If I Said,' a Dancehall/Reggae track featuring DeejayKyapi in January, the ladies on his social network pages strongly approved.  They fell in love with the heavy baseline intertwined with Kurt's sultry sounds and Kyapi's hardcore style.  'If I Said' was submitted to Jamaican radio where several djs added it to their playlists as it crept into the streets and got on to the dancehall djs/selectors playlists too and pumping.

Appropriately, a video for the song was released and soon enough, got onto several local video channels to include HYPE TV, RETV, CVM Hitlist andd MDTV to name a few.

Subsequently, the feedback was satisfactory so the management staff at New Hites Production, the independent label based in Florida that manages
Kurt Legacy, pleased with the progress the track made in Jamaica, took the decision to drop yet another single entitled, 'Perfect Luv.'

Perfect Luv is once again created with the ladies in mind as they are Kurt Legacy's biggest fans, "I just love them man and I'm not saying that because I'm a man, but their support strengthens me.  Thanks to all ma ladies on Tagg," he said. The track is laid on an authentic, live, old school Reggae rhythm that was composed by some of Florida's most notable Reggae musicians.  Kurt's RnB smooth, sultry vocals blends well on the track as he puts it down.

Introducing R & B singer Kurt Legacy

Writer : Caribbean E-Magazine on Monday, January 14, 2013 | 3:56 PM

With his daring personae tampering with the sounds of Dancehall, Hip-Hop and R&B, Kurt Legacy has been successful in persuading his audience to surrender to change under his unorthodox lyrical style, and musical concepts.  His vibrato is reminiscent of the legendary Tevin Campbell, and his smooth, sensual vocal texture is often compared with the likes of Babyface, El Debarge and Michael Jackson.

Kurt is without a doubt, a true master of his Art, holding titles: singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, dancer and even engineer.  His tremendous vocal ability, heart throbbing lines and un-calculated moves goes to show that he is someone more than just an artist.  When asked to explain his genre of music, the artiste stated, "R&B is what I sing, Pop is what I do, reggae/dancehall is my culture and hip-hop is simply the flow, that's the shortest I can put it."  In today's society where originality is often diluted, Kurt is sure to spin a surprising twist when he starts to deejay, dubbing him nothing short of an thrilling entertainer.

Kurt attended Knox College, in Clarendon, Jamaica and at 14 he met and became friends with John Hacker, a music teacher who collaborated with him and dorm-mate Sean Holland in producing his very first single entitled, "Having Fun."  The single gave him his first exposure to the music industry, stirring up noise in the Caribbean and landing on the No. 2 spot of Radio Grand Cayman charts.  After graduating High school, Kurt later moved to Florida where he attended college and found himself working with many different producers at different stages of his life, which sometimes stroke unacceptable deals and compromised his sound.  Deciding to branch off on his own, he then constructed his own recording studio, and formed a production team which featured renounced musician Benjamin Jackson who helped him mold and capture his composition.

Finally after a decade of transformation, anyone now willing to observe the artist movement through the undergrounds to the main will try observe a prodigy in the making.  Now prepared to prove himself with his line up songs,
Kurt says that he is ready for the world, and hopes to offer music that will inspire regardless of genre, topic or style.
