West Pembroke School Pride Wins Bermuda’s Youth Got Talent Competition

In March the second season of Bermuda’sYouth Got Talent got underway with over 170 contestants vying the title. After weeks of stellar performances, West Pembroke School Pride emerged the winner of this year’s competition, taking home $5,000 and an iPad 2.







Round two of the audition process was narrowed down to twenty-three (23) acts, where each act had to repeat their performances in front of a live audience .This was where  contestant had the opportunity wow the judges and the public for their votes


The top 20 acts were then unveiled and viewers were asked to phone in, text or go online to place their vote for their favourite performer or performers. They also got chance to perform during Bermuda’s dayParade on May 24th.


Judges were entertainers: Steve Easton, Powergirl and Nadanja Bailey .


The winners are:
Grand Prize winner -$5000 and an iPad2 (care of iClick) - WPS Pride
Judge’s Choice – Angelis Hunt; 3 hours of studio time at Just Platinum, $100 Brown & Co, 4 complimentary tickets to the movies at Speciality Cinema
1st Runner up [people’s choice] – Quinn Outerbridge; $150 gift certificate from A.S Cooper, 2 complimentary tickets to Speciality Cinema
Favourite single act over 13 – Cameron Moulder; $100 gift certificate from Music Box
Favourite single act under 13 – Shori Lindsay-Trott; $100 gift certificate from Daisy & Mac
Favourite group under 13 – The Simons Brothers; $100 Brown & Co, 4 complimentary tickets to Speciality Cinema
Favourite dancer over 13 – Precious Cooper; $100 Electronic City
Favourite dancer under 13 – Micah Corea
Best performance with an instrument – Connie Campbell; $100 gift certificate from Music Box
Highly commended [under 13] – Ameina Lewis; $100 gift certificate from Daisy & Mac
Highly commended [over 13] – Francesca Dill, Julia Frith; $100 each from M&M
