Triple Olympic champion Usain Bolt will earn $300,000 US
for competing in the 200m at the Paris Diamond League on July 6.
Bolt
will face France's ChristopheLemaitre, the current European 100m champ,
in the final race of the event, organizers said.
The two men competed against other in
the 200m at the 2011 world championships in Daegu, South Korea, where Bolt won
and Lemaitre came in third.
Paris Diamond League meet director Laurent Boquillet
has no doubt the $300,000 is money well-spent.
"With Bolt, we know that we
will easily fill the Stade de France," he said.
Bolt
has committed to two other races this year, a 150m event on Brazil's Copacabana
beach on March 31 and the 200m race at Oslo's Bislett Games on June 13.
