the end of 2012 approaches, Direct
Music TV America and its Caribbean
partners are pleased, once again, to assist with giving support and exposure to
the growing fashion market, showcasing hot new Designers & Models from the
Caribbean.
This year, one lucky model and/or
designer will win the 2013 Direct Music TV America
Caribbean Designer & Model Search.
The winning prize will be an all-expense
paid trip to model and/or showcase at the prestigious 2013 'FASHIONISTA"
Hair, Fashion and Music showcase in St.Thomas US-Virgin
Islands from January 11th-13th

Alexander, Director of Direct Music TV America.
In 2011, the winner of the Lifestyles Magazine
and Direct Music TV Caribbean Model Search was Ms. Lee-Ann Forbes
from Trinidad
and Tobago. Her prize was an all-expense paid
trip to model at the highly accredited Islands of the World Fashion Week, held
in Nassau, Bahamas. Lee-Ann
was so impressive that the Directors of the Islands of the World Fashion Week
wanted her to return in 2012.
However, due to her commitments as the
newly crowned Trinidad &
Tobago Miss World contestant for 2011, Miss
Forbes was unable to attend. At the 61st edition of the Miss World pageant,
held November 8th, 2011 in London, England, Ms. Lee-Ann Forbes
proudly represented Trinidad and Tobago.

Music TV America's Caribbean Designer & Model Search
was a huge success in St. Maarten at the Sunset Beach Bar & Grill. Thanks

The winner of the event was Ms. Yulanda Gentle,
who has recently returned to her home after ripping up the run ways at the
Virgin Islands fashion Week, held in St. Thomas US Virgin Islands. One of her
prizes was an all-expense paid trip to model at the Virgin Islands Fashion
Week.
As a result of winning the Direct Music TV America
Caribbean Designer & Model Search December
2011 to Dec 2012, Yulanda
has been modelling at several large
fashion events across America. Yulanda
intends to bring more fashion attestation to St.Maarten and Guyana, where she
is originally from, once we choose a new winner for 2012/2013..
These types of fashion events can be
looked upon as a great opportunity for the island as it helps to profile the
Caribbean islands as a destination for fashion, music, models and cultural
tourism. "I look forward to helping new companies,
models and designers. Each year we will contribute to the Caribbean economy, by
developing the Fashion niche market",
stated Mr Anthony Alexander, the Director of Direct Music TV America.
During each Caribbean
Designer / Model Search, discussions were held
with various stakeholders such as designers, new artistes, photographers, media
houses, musicians, band leaders, promoters, producers and models to discuss how
to help their market growth.
