Miss Jamaica Humanity International 2012 Lesa-Gayle Wee Tom Eyeing Prestigious Crown

Lesa-Gayle Wee Tom will be representing Jamaica in the Miss Humanity International pageant to be held in Barbados. The pageant will run from October 14-20. With Jamaica celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, she feels it is of great privilege for her to be given the opportunity to be an ambassador for her country and hopes to give Jamaica another reason to celebrate by winning this prestigious crown.


She will present her humanitarian platform which is about the issues concerning children and women. In light of the tragedies currently happening in Jamaica, Lesa-gayle will have a lot to present to the judges. She wants to break the silence on the issues of abuse of our children and women. She feels that her Journalism studies and experience have prepared her to be a great spokesperson for the Miss Humanity International title.

Miss Humanity International is an innovative pageant with headquarters in Bridgetown, Barbados. The First pageant was held in 2011. Its sole objective is to promote and raise awareness about humanitarian causes worldwide. The pageant is open to young ladies ages 16-27 who have a strong passion for community & humanitarian service. The pageant desire delegates to support charities that work to advocate against child labour, HIV/AIDS Discrimination, domestic abuse, genocide, sexual exploitation, human trafficking, hunger, lack of access to pure drinking water or discrimination, poverty. All national representatives are expected to engage in social activities with businesses and governments to benefit all of humankind through charitable causes.


Lesa-gayle is no stranger to competing; she has represented Jamaica in the Miss Caribbean World and Miss International beauty pageants. Also she was the winner of Miss Florida Caribbean in 2009 and Miss Jamzone international in 2010 but she feels Miss Humanity International holds a special place in heart because it's about doing good in the world and making a difference in people's lives.
