A new queen was crowned at the Miss Caribbean
Culture Pageant and Trevicia “Barbie”Adams of St Kitts won the title. She also
captured the sectional titles of Best Ambassadorial Wear and Best Evening Wear.
Miss Curacao, Marvia Laurence won first runners up
and also capped the Best Interview segment, while Louise Victor of St Lucia was
second runners up along with the winning title of Best Swimsuit. The third runner-up position went to Miss St.
Croix, Sheniece Massiah.
Miss Montserrat Claris Yearwood won for Best Performing Talent and Miss Photogenic, while Best Promotional video award went to Miss Barbados Jamilah Forde and Miss Anguilla Marejah Smith was named Miss Amity.
This is the second win for St Kitts which on the title back in 2009 when Mariece Roberts won he crown.
The Miss Caribbean Culture Pageant was held in Nevis
as part of the annual celebrations for Culturama, with the theme “Culturally Yours’
aimed at motivating each participating territory to present its country’s
finest and most creative attributes and talents in the visual and performing arts
There were 9 territories participating, including,
host Nevis, St. Kitts, Anguilla, St. Croix, Curacao, Barbados, St. Lucia,
Montserrat and the Dominican Republic.
