Caribbean Beauties Off To a Good Start at Miss World Competition

Some of the Caribbean beauties are making a strong impact in the Miss World contest, having made the semi-finals of the Top Model content.

After the whirlwind auditions that took place to cast contestants for the Top Model catwalk show to be held on August 12, 47 countries were revealed, whose representatives will be walking the runway.

Among the Caribbean contestant were Miss Jamaica, Miss Bahamas, Miss Trinidad and Tobago, Miss Mexico, Miss Puerto Rico, Miss Belize and Miss Bermuda

In describing the Top Model portion, the Miss World organizers said: “As the music stated pumping, each contestant walked the length of the room towards the waiting judges, paused and struck a pose, and then held their number up so they could easily be identified

These lucky participants will be adorned in garments by Chinese luxury cashmere label, the collection and curation of the show has been overseen by fashion authority and Creative Director of the brand, Graeme Black.

First round talent winners are announced!

The talent section was held section, where contestants were given the chance to demonstrate their own unique talents in front of a panel of judges.

The Caribbean first contestants confirmed to have made it through to the next round are as follows:

Miss Bahamas, Miss Panama, Miss St Kitts and Nevis, Miss Jamaica, Miss Curacao ,Miss Dominican Republic and  Miss Bermuda

The Miss World final will be in Inner Mongolia, China on August 18th.
