Usain Bolt dating Lubica Slovak. Should race matters?

When news broke that Usain Bolt were dating designer Lubica Slovak, there were mixed feelings amongst fans and particular Jamaicans, because of her race.  Many called Bolt ‘the next Tiger Woods’, who married a white woman and later divorce.

Cartoonist Clover even made light of the romance depicting a drawing of a black woman with ‘local’ written on her dress looking upset while Bolt runs into the arms of ‘Lubica".

Lubica was in Slovakia and migrated with her father to Canada at age 14, where she studied fashion design. She currently lives and works in Jamaica, as a fashion designer with her own  clothing line called Anuna and a Kingston boutique.

According to the Daily Mail Lubica was introduced to Bolt last year through a mutual friend, reggae singer Tami Chynn. Shortly after they met, she interviewed Bolt for a feature in a Slovakian newspaper and they began dating in mid November.

Usain has been linked to different black girls in the past including British Bartender  Rebeckah Passley , reality TV star Taneish ‘Lava’ Simpson and model Leesa Wee Tom, who it was rumored he was engaged to.

So should race matter when a successful black man dates outside of his race?
