Miss Dominican Republic to relinquish her crown because she is married

Carlina Duran the reigning Miss Dominican Republic will have to relinquish her crown because she is married, this according to organizers.

A marriage license showed 25-year-old Duran,was wed on June 6, 2009., and according the contest rules, a contestant has to be single .

Duran won the title back on April 17, and was to represent The Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe Pageant.

A press conference by Contest organizers have been scheduled to give the crown to runner-up Dulcita Lieggi, who is 24., where she will  officially received the crown..
