Caribbean King of Kings Calypso Monarch 2012 Winner is Karene Asche

The Caribbean King of Kings Calypso Monarch competition was held on Saturday night at Carnival Village in Basseterre St.Kitts.

Reigning Trinidad Calypso Monarch  27 year old Karene Asche maintained her title  from 10 Calypso Kings and Queens from throughout the region, by securing 761 pts


1st Runner-up  went to Dominica’s calypso monarch Tasha P , with 721pts, and 2nd Runner-up, went to Pungwah of  St.Kitts, walking away with 711 pts

Other participating regional Calypso Monarchs in the show included St. Croix’ Mighty Pat, St.Lucia’s Queen Menelle, Nevis’ King Meeko, St.Maarten’s King Timo and St.Thomas’ Kung Fu Plenty
