The 54th Annual Grammy Award - Caribbean Nominees

The Grammy nominations were announced last night on CBS, and we are taking a look at all the Caribbean nominees. Rihanna  and Nicki Minaj leads with most nomiations from the Caribbean

Rihanna got here first "Album of the year" nomination for "Loud",  and  "Best Pop Vocal Album".
She was received two nonimation  for "Best Rap/Sung Collaboration"  What's My Name? featuring Drake, and "All Of the Lights" with Kanye West, Kid Cudi and Fergie from the track " My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

"All Of the Lights" was also nominated for "Best Rap Song", Rihanna is one of the songwriters for this song


Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj is up for "Best New Artist" , and  also " Best Rap Performance" for Moment 4 Life, featuring Drake. It comes with no surprise that Nicki's "Pink Friday" was nominated for "Best Rap Album", the only female nominee in this category.

Now for the "Best Reggae Album" Nominees are
  • Harlem-Kingston Express Live!  - Monty Alexander
  • Reggae Knights - Israel Vibration
  • Revelation Pt 1: The Root of Life - Stephen Marley
  • Wild And  Free - Ziggy Marley
  • Summer In Kingston - Shaggy

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will air live on February. 12 on CBS from L.A.'s Staples Center.
