Smirnoff Beach J’Ouvert headlines Easter Weekend

The people’s choice for vodka, Smirnoff, will own the Easter Weekend with high energy entertainment on Jamaica’s north coast.
Headlining the Easter Weekend activities will be the popular Smirnoff Beach J’Ouvert on Saturday April 23 at James Bond Beach in St Mary with the party continuing at Smirnoff Day and Night at Margaritaville, Ocho Rios, later that night.

The super premium Daydreams Beach Party, known for its great food, decor and vibes, will be held on Sunday April 24 at Drax Hall, St Ann.

Other not-to-be-missed events for the Smirnoff Easter Weekend are Code Red Anniversary and Touch – the official Daydreams After Party – on Sunday April 24 at Margaritaville and Mystic Mountain Car Park respectively.

CARNIVAL TIME

Speaking at the launch of Smirnoff Beach J’Ouvert on Thursday April 14 at Barbican Beach, Marsha Lumley, Brand Manager for Smirnoff, said that the brand would be adding its own unique flavour to the colourful carnival event.

“It’s carnival time and nothing complements soca music better than a Smirnoff cocktail,” said Lumley. “Just as paint and adrenalin-pumping performances are a common theme of J’Ouvert, so too is Smirnoff vodka.”

Smirnoff Beach J’Ouvert falls under the ‘Once Upon a Dynasty’ theme and will boast the indomitable soca diva, Destra Garcia. The event begins at 1 pm and will also feature DJ Bambino, Kurt Riley, Sparkles Disco, Private Ryan from Trinidad and DJ Smoke from Renaissance. Tickets are now on sale for $3,500 and will be available at the gate for $4,500. A special food-inclusive band is also available for $6,000. Smirnoff Beach J’Ouvert is a drink-inclusive event.

Smirnoff has been hosting its ‘I Choose Smirnoff’ campaign throughout the Bacchanal series at Mas Camp. This activity informs consumers on what makes a vodka good and they then take a blind taste test. On almost every occasion, patrons select Smirnoff vodka as the best. Lumley said the goal is to have the entire James Bond Beach saying ‘I Choose Smirnoff’ on April 23.

Smirnoff has also been engaging consumers through the social media, with its Smirnoff Jamaica Facebook page a constant hotspot for giveaways and product information.

“A limited number of tickets for the Easter Weekend are available on our Smirnoff Jamaica Facebook page so we encourage persons to ‘like’ the page and join the Smirnoff community,” said Lumley.
