Reggae singer Shaggy , whose real name is Orville Burrell will be honored today with the 2011 International Humanitarian Award by the American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) at their 7th Annual Peacock Soiree at Jungle Island in Miami, Florida.
The event is being hosted by Ambassador Sue Cobb, the president of the American Friends of Jamaica and the board of directors. Proceeds from the event will benefit Jamaican charities in education, health care and economic development.
Guest will be entertained by the Jolly Boys, amidst the tropical elegance of Miami’s Jungle Island with cocktails, dinner and dancing well into the night. The Peacock Soiree promises to be spectacular, chic and fun attracting dignitaries, sport stars and business professionals.
