Actor Boy Awards Winners

The Actor Boy Awards was recently held at the New Kingston’s Pantry Playhouse. The Award for Excellence in Jamaican Theatre went to the National Schools’ Drama Festival fo rits contribution to cultivating a rich legacy dedicated to the theatrical arts.


However the night belonged to the popular musical White Witch , which won 13 awards from 15 nominations. The production which is based  on the life and misadventures of Annie Palmer, the notorious queen of the Rose Hall Great House in St. James.

White Witch winners include lead actor, Keiran King; lead actress,Maylynne Lowe Walton; best supporting actress Noelle Kerr; best supporting actor Philip Clarke, best production of the year, original score and musical ,best choreography, set, costumes, and new Jamaican play.


Other winners for the evening were The Plumber, best comedy and Against His Will, best drama.
