Wiz Khalifa to Headline International Night at Reggae Sumfest

S Rapper Wiz Khalifa has been confirmed for the 2014 staging of Reggae Sumfest.  The “Black and Yellow” hit maker will perform on International Night 1 of the show on Friday July 18th.

 

Wiz Khalifa, will be joined by Tessanne Chin, winner of NBC’s The Voice, along with Sanchez, Chronixx, Jah Cure, Zvuloon Dub System from Israel and much more. 

Wiz a  four-time Grammy nominee,  is known for producing albums such as Show and Prove, Deal or no Deal, Rolling Papers and O.N.I.F.C (Only N***a in First Class).He also has done hit singles such as Young, Wild and Free (featuring Snoop Dogg and Bruno Mars), Remember You and Work Hard, Play Hard.

He is currently promoting his upcoming album, Blacc Hollywood, which is slated for release sometime this year and released the first single off the compilation, We Dem Boyz  in February. The album will feature Grammy-winning singer, Adele as well as Miley Cyrus and Juicy J.

Reggae Sumfest 2014 will take place from July 13-19 at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay and is being sponsored by The Gleaner Company Ltd., Jamaica Tourist Board, Digicel, Iberostar, Pepsi, Secrets and IRIE FM.

Jah Cure Releases Video for His Latest Single "Wake Up".

ature's Way Entertainment in its quest to continue delivering music of high quality to consumers, has released the video for Jah Cure's latest single Wake Up.

The video was directed by Shanka. It was shot on location at various communities across Kingston, Jamaica.

 

The track has been released digitally and physically on multiple various artistes’ compilations including Strictly the Best 49 by VP Records, The Hit List Vol. 4 by Tad's Record and Sweet Personality Riddim by Natures Way Entertainment/VPAL.

In the video clip, Jah Cure displays his powerhouse vocal and his charismatic style of delivery with forceful lyrics and powerful images which tell the story of the social reality of his people that he keenly sings about. 

Jah Cure's message comes with the solution for Jah children. The video is now in rotation on television channels and is available on YouTube where it has racked up over 36,000 views in less than a week.

"Wake Up" is produced by Garfield & Sanya Cowan for Nature's Way Entertainment.

Following the release of its Sweet Personality riddim various artistes compilation, the label is set to release King Mas' solo album Evolution; the single I May Not Be by Alva; and Hour Glass by Wayne Wonder featuring Alva.

" I'm now officially a daddy I'm so happy lol".... She is finally here now! she is so beautiful'

Bob Marley Birthday Bash set for Negril from February 3-6

The 20th annual  Bob Marley Birthday Bash will be held from February 3-6, at the MXIII Lawn on One Love  Boulevard (formerly West End Road) and at the Negril Beach Park.


Headliners of the four day event includes Jah Cure , Admiral Tibet, Josey Wales, Coco Tea and Marcia Griffiths.

Nyahbinghi drumming will be on Friday night at the  MXIII Lawn, the big star-studded Bob Marley Birthday Bash on Saturday (MXIII Lawn) . On Sunday night Dancehall Party at the Negril Beach Park, while the final night party goers  can enjoy the Royal Bob Marley Celebrations  at MXIII Lawn

Ninja Kid Releases Provocative Song ‘Tongue Ring’

Riding high with a cadre of hits such as: ‘Cups High’, ‘Menke’, ‘Internet Bad Boy’ and the Christopher Birch produced ‘Have Nuh Gal Like We’, established entertainer Ninja Kid has released his first official single for 2012.

The song titled ‘Tongue Ring Shot’ is a very provocative number dedicated to the ladies who are wearers of the trendy body art.

Kid, whose given name is Ojukwu Simpson credits the current tongue ring and body piercing trend as the inspiration behind the composition.

“Almost every girl you meet or see nowadays have some kind of piercing and quite a few of them pierce their tongue. So I just sing a song about it and highlight what they doing and them seems to like it.”

Produced by Marcus Myrie, son of incarcerated Reggae superstar Buju Banton, the song has already found its way onto the FM airwaves and local party circuit despite being only days old.

“I played the songs for a wide cross-section of females to get feedback and they said they loved it, so based on that the decision was taken to release it as my first official single for 2012.” – Kid intimated.

Plans are also in motion for an accompanying video in the weeks ahead.

Meanwhile, Ninja Kid currently managed by Darkcide International has been working assiduously with a number of A-list producers such as: Stephen McGregor, Christopher Birch, DJ Smurf, Seanizzle, Marcus Myrie, Truckback Records, Young Veterans, Q45 Productions and Ballers Production among others.
