Recently the 23rd
annual Miss Caraïbes Hibiscus pageant
was held at Casino Royale at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Casino in Maho, where eighteen beautiful women from
all over the Caribbean and some South American vied for the title. In the end Miss Guadeloupe Brigitte Golabkan
won the title and was
crowned Miss Caraïbes Hibiscus 2013-2014.
Making the top 10 after the evening wear and swimwear parade, were the representatives of: Bolivia, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guadeloupe, Panama, Venezuela, Guyana, French Guiana, and Trinidad and Tobago.

In the sectional
awards Miss Curaçao Genesis Raphael
was named Miss Amity while Miss Suriname Kyran Rampersad was awarded Miss Popularity. Best Traditional Costume was won by Miss Panama Lesbia Lobo; Best Evening Gown awarded to Miss Bolivia Luciana Arancibia,
and Miss Venezuela Andrea Escobar Colombo, walked away with Miss Photogenic.
First runner-up
went Miss Dominican Republic Rosa Emilia Martinez-Javier while
Miss Ecuador Maria Jose Maza was
named the second runner-up.
The Masters of Ceremonies for thee grand finale were Bobo and Raïssa of Guadeloupe, and performers
for the night were Oswald, Viet Zu Coeur
and Afro Latin Move.
