Over in the Bahamas, the Summer Madness Revue 2009 will take place from September 15 to 19 with performances at 8 PM each night at the Dundas Center for the Performing Arts. According to promoter James Catalyn, Summer Madness is a light hearted revue, which covers typical, topical and timely topics with provocative questions and hilarious answers.

St Vincent & The Grenadines Soca artiste Skinny Fabulous who hit the top of the charts last year with Head Bad, was recently named the new king of soca in St Vincent and the Grenadines with his hit song Unleash the Beast. Skinny whose real name is Gamal Doyle, is currently riding several Caribbean charts with the hit single Unleash the Beast.

Soca artiste Machel Montano recently launched his new album Heavenly. The album features collaborations with Collie Buddz, Busy Signal, Chinese Laundry, Umi Marcano, and Len Boogsie Sharpe. Featured on the album is the track Wild Antz which placed third in the 2009 Road March Competition while another track, Magic Drumz, played by the Phase 2 Steel Orchestra, placed second in the "Large Bands" category at the Panorama Finals steelpan competition at Trinidad and Tobago Carnival.
