Korean reggae artiste Skull gets reprieve to perform at Reggae Rising Festival in California

Korean reggae artiste Skull, who slammed his way onto the Billboard R&B Hip Hop Singles Sales charts in 2007 with the hit single Boom Di Boom, has been drafted for the lineup of the Reggae Rising Festival which unfolds from July 31 to August 2 in Humboldt County, California.

Skull whose career in music came to a standstill a in late 2007 after he was drafted by the South Korean Army has been stationed near the DMZ. In the midst of the recent increased threat level, there was concern for the artiste’s safety.

His management team which includes Mariah Carey’s brother Morgan Carey, breathed a collective sigh of relief when it was announced that Skull would be receiving a furlough to perform at the Reggae Rising event. Other performers billed for the three day festival include Gentleman, Luciano, Capleton , The Original Wailers, Tony Rebel, ASWAD, Queen Ifrica, Sister Carol, Toots and The Maytals, Marcia Griffiths, and Freddie McGregor among others.
