Visionz Entertainment, Marketing & Promotions Inc will host the 2nd Annual “Trinbago Village” during the ING Miami Marathon, scheduled to take place on Sunday January 29th 2009. Trinidad and Tobago will be showcased during the upcoming ING Miami Marathon for the second year. The “TRINBAGO VILLAGE”, A Community Fun Zone, will feature the culture of Trinidad and Tobago: Steel Pan Music, Authentic Trinidadian Cuisine, Live Entertainment, Community Organizations and lots more.
The location of this Community Fun Zone will be 1101 Brickell Ave, in downtown Miami (opposite the Consul General Offices), the last entertainment area before the end of the marathon. It will be an early day of FREE activities, as the entertainment program will commence at 9am and end at 11:30am. The Trinbago Village promises to animate and highlight the various aspects of Trinidadian culture that is rich in pageantry, color and tradition.
Last years program featured appearances by: Gerard Greene (Consul General of Trinidad & Tobago), Neki Mohan (Channel 10 News), Mr. Arthur Joseph (Deal or No Deal Winner) and Papa Keith (Radio Personality 99Jamz). There was also a special musical performance by our very own Miami Pan Symphony. As participants/runners entered the “Trinbago Village” they were greeted by our chants of encouragement and invited back to the tent to sample the great Trinidadian Cuisine that we provided. (ReMo’s Catering, Natures Coolers).
The Village ‘08 was sponsored in part by, Sea Freight Shipping Agencies, Caribbean Airlines, Bilmor Advertising, Trinidad & Tobago Independence Ball Committee, Caribbean American Heritage of Florida, CHINA Mas Group, Caribbean Entertainment, Caribbean Contact, Sankar Tent Rentals, Sound Rev and Spot Coolers.
Join us as we celebrate our Trinidadian Culture at the ING Miami Marathon on Sunday January 29th 2009.
