Trinidad and Tobago Finishes Third in Miss World

Miss Trinidad & Tobago World, Gabrielle Walcott snagged third place honors in the 58th Annual Miss World Beauty Pageant last Saturday in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Walcott finished behind Russia's Kseniya Sukhinova who won the Miss World 2008 title and Miss India, Parvathy Omanakuttan who was the first runner-up.
No other Caribbean nation made it to the top five.
Walcott, who dreams of becoming an actress, has her first degree in Visual and Theatre Arts from the University of the West Indies. She moved to New York where she pursued her post graduate studies in Acting and Theatre Arts.
Winner Sukhinova, is a fifth-year student pursuing cybernetic systems in the Oil and Gas University in Tyumen.
