Sean Paul To Perform at One Dream Dance festival in Zimbabwe

amaican musician Sean Paul is set to return to Zimbabwe to perform at the inaugural annual One Dream Dance festival (Odd) in July.

The festival, which runs from July 30 to August 3, will take place at the Old Georgians Sports Club. Odd is mainly a school dance festival, which will have 31 schools and colleges participating. The Global Stage will host international dance groups during the day and the headline acts in the evening. Other international acts slated to perform includes Salif Keita, PJ Pauls and Omarion

Odd festival was established a meeting place for different world cultures.

Sean Paul at Perform at Dr. Martin Luther King Event in San Antonio, Texas

Jamaican superstar Sean Paul will be the special musical guest at the Youth Empowerment Summit on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at St. Philip's College, San Antonio, Texas. His performance is in commemoration of the life and legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, put on by the City of San Antonio.

The annual series of events also includes one of the nation's largest Martin Luther King, Jr. marches on Monday, January 20. A testament to Dr. King's lasting impact on all Americans, this local City-sponsored march annually attracts approximately 100,000 participants and ends with a Commemorative Program featuring renowned guest speakers and performers, entertainment and more.

Sean Paul Wins “Best Reggae Act” at MOBO Award

amaican artiste Sean Paul emerged victorious at the UK's Music of Black Origin Awards (MOBOs) on the weekend after taking home the “Best Reggae Act” award.

The 18th MOBO Awards ceremony was held in Glasgow, Scotland and featured performances from acts including So Solid Crew, Tinie Tempah, Rudimental and Iggy Azalea.

Sean Paul beat out competitors Deejay Stylo G, a Jamaican singer based in London, Mavado, Tarrus Riley and Popcaan in the Best Reggae category.

 

This is the fifth win for Sean who won in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2012 respectively.

 

The full list of winners at the 2013 MOBO Awards, are as follows:

Best Male Act: Wiley

Best Female Act: Laura Mvula

Best Video: 'La La La' by Naughty Boy
