Sean Paul Wins “Best Reggae Act” at MOBO Award

amaican artiste Sean Paul emerged victorious at the UK's Music of Black Origin Awards (MOBOs) on the weekend after taking home the “Best Reggae Act” award.

The 18th MOBO Awards ceremony was held in Glasgow, Scotland and featured performances from acts including So Solid Crew, Tinie Tempah, Rudimental and Iggy Azalea.

Sean Paul beat out competitors Deejay Stylo G, a Jamaican singer based in London, Mavado, Tarrus Riley and Popcaan in the Best Reggae category.

 
This is the fifth win for Sean who won in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2012 respectively.

Best Newcomer: Krept and Konan
Best Male Act: Wiley
Best Female Act: Laura Mvula
Best Video: 'La La La' by Naughty Boy
Best UK Hip Hop/Grime: Tinie Tempah
Best Album: Home by Rudimental
Best R&B/Soul Act: Laura Mvula
Best Song: 'La La La' by Naughty Boy
Best International Act: Kendrick Lamar
Best African Act: Fuse ODG
Best Jazz Act: Sons Of Kemet
Best Gospel Act: Lurine Cato
Best Reggae Act: Sean Paul
