Miss Dominica, Francine Baron Is the Newly Crown Miss Carival 2014

iss Dominica, Francine Baron, was crowned the winner of Miss Carival 2014 after defeating the nine other contestants in the pageant held at Victoria Park Friday night.

Along with the title Baron, who is an educator also captured the awards for Miss Congeniality and Best in Swimwear.

Miss St. Kitts and Nevis, Kaeve Armstrong, was First Runner-up, she was also awarded “Best Talent” and “Best Interview”; while Second Runner-up went to Miss Antigua and Barbuda, Raynel Caroll, Who was awarded “Best Evening Wear”.

Another winner in the sectional award was “Most Community Spirited” awarded to Miss Guyana, Kiswana Jefford.

The other contestants were:  Miss Barbados — Zhane Padmore; Miss Jamaica — Danielle Black; Miss Martinique — Alexandra Chastel; Miss Venezuela — Genesis Valera Seijas; Miss SVG Shadeisha George.

This is the second consecutive win for Dominica, as last year Miss Dominican Leslassa Armour Shillingford captured the title.
