Songstress Tessanne Chin to be a Contestant on “The Voice”

Jamaican singer Tessanne Chin has auditioned for the popular US talent show “The Voice”.  The 27 year old broke the news via her twitter account yesterday.

Chin is best known for her hit singles "Hideaway" and "Messenger, and was the open acts for Patti Labelle, Peabo Bryson and Gladys Knight.  She also toured for 3 years with Jimmy Cliff as a back-up singer.

The Voice will return to NBC on September 23 with coaches Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton.
