Reggae Icon Frederick "Toots" Hibbert Suing His Former Manager

Reggae singer Frederick "Toots" Hibbert has filed a lawsuit against his manager Marc-Antoine Chetata.

Toots claims that when he hired his manager back in 94, he had no business knowledge and that his former manager used his ignorance to royally trick him.

According to Toots, who only received 4th grade education, Chetata made him signed an agreement that gave him 50% song ownership.

Now Toots wants $1.25 million minimum and his songs back.

In other “Toots” News

Toots who was on a US tour was injured recently during a May 19 concert in Richmond, Virginia, when was struck by a vodka bottle thrown at him by an audience member. Following the incident the singer has canceled the remainder of his U.S. tour and returned home to Jamaica.
