During her prep school years at Belair School in Mandeville, at grade 6 Dahlia began to write her own songs based in Jamaica and life. She was influenced by her music teacher and was able to record for the first time in a music studio. After that experience Dahlia realized that singing was one of her main goals out of many. She entered the inter-house rising star competition at Belair which gave her the confidence and the ability to perform on stage.
Dahlia entered in the JCDC musical competition and won her first musical medal. She also plays the Piano and earned a distinction and merits from her practical exams.
Dancing is also a part of Dahlia’s life also being active in sports. She is Artistic with a creative mind. Dahlia is influenced by Tami Chynn, Tessanne Chin, Tifa, Denyque, Adele, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, and Beyoncé........
She felt
inspired to attempt her part heritage Soca music in Trinidad for Carnival 2013
by working with music producers Mevon Sodeen of Xplicit
Sounds which was her first Soca release with featured artiste Mark Hardy and Managed by Jeuel G.Thompson
Her name was publicized in all
media forms while she was in Trinidad gracing the stage at many events, radio,
newspaper articles and TV appearances.
Now a Graduate of The Hampton High School this aspiring singer/songwriter has gained full support and her gratitude go out to her Jamaican team as well – G3 Muzic, Kris Beats, Rachie and the ShortFilmz JA members as well as her close friends, glam team and family.
Dahlia released
an inspirational track called “Live life” April 2013 and
has a very upbeat dance song to release for the summer 2013 call “Calling”

Dahlia is
working on getting her music out to the public. She believes that all her music
will be heard and will not disappoint. Her place on this earth is to
inspire, empower and redefine the work of female artistes, also carry her name
through the Caribbean shores and on the international platform.
