Sharie deCastro Miss Caribbean World 2013 |
DeCastro
dominated the competition and copped five sectional prizes including Miss Poise, Best Talent, Best Evening Wear and Miss Intellect.
The event, which is in its eighth year, was
held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex in Tortola. Leslassa Armour Shillingford of Dominica was First
Runner-Up, who was also awarded Miss photogenic
and Best Swimwear.
Second Runner-Up went Carice
Glasgow of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Joy-Ann Biscette of St. Lucia is Third Runner-Up and was awarded
Best National Costumes, while Trevica “Barbie” Adams of St. Kitts is
Fourth Runner-Up.
Other participating countries were
Haiti, Unites States, United States Virgin Islands, St. Croix, Trinidad and
Tobago, St. Kitts and Nevis, Cuba, Antigua and Barbuda and The Bahamas.
Sharie deCastro
is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where she obtained a Bachelors of
Arts Degree in English with a minor in Educational Studies.
