Donsome Records
has issued its most ambitious project to date. The 16 track various
artistes compilation ‘Reggae
Fruits & Roots Vol. 1’ is highly touted
as a hot collectors’ item.
Produced by the team of Adrian ‘Donsome’ Hanson
and Peter ‘Shady’ Harrison,
it features additional production work from Kemar ‘Flava’
McGregor, Oneil ‘Clarkie’ Clarke, Ricky ‘Mad Man’ Myrie,
and Bruno
Henrique from Brazil.
In a release to the media, Hanson stated that the project was structured by
concept and storyline.
‘The album was structured by
concept and storyline. I wanted to bring out Fruits and Roots with a
little love. At first I looked for artistes who could sing songs that would
bring out these feelings. I also reached out to producers who have worked with
artistes that could interpret the message that we wanted to bring across to the
listeners’, Hanson explained.
The project is a mixture of different
rhythms but all the beats stick to the same roots one drop vibe.
Early response to the project has been
quite favorable with songs already in rotation at radio.
