Caribbean Fashion Plus +Week 2012 (CFPW 2012), which
is hosted by CARIVOG International is set to kick off from October 31 –
November 4th , at the Cascadia Hotel, St. Ann’s, Trinidad and Tobago.
The event, which is in its first year aim, is to
create a fashion-forward environment for the Caribbean within which the needs
of the plus size (ladies) and big-and-tall (gents) communities of the world can
be served. CFPW 2012 is an international event, open to all clothing and
accessory designers, make-up and hair stylists, which will facilitate and
encourage business networking, fashion education seminars and will support the
on-going process of building a more prominent plus-size fashion industry on the
Caribbean.
Traditionally and more so today, the Caribbean women
are more curvaceous. As the world already caters for the size 10 and under,
Caribbean Fashion Plus+ Week's aim is to develop the market for the size 12 and
over to fully meet the needs that exist in the Caribbean Communities with the
trendiest of fashion brands
The organisational team for this event comprises of
a group of professional women and men from the multimedia, fashion, beauty,
education, finance and marketing industries.
The event is hosted on the twin islands of Trinidad
and Tobago and is open to nationals of all countries interested in the
development of the plus size industry in the Caribbean.
CALLING ALL FASHION INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDERS:
- If you are a Caribbean clothing designer, you are invited to take on the challenge of designing a full plus size line for CFPW 2012!
- Passionate about fashion accessories and design of unique jewellery? The CFPW has networking opportunities and a special event during the week for you!
- Calling Make-Up Artists and Hair-Stylists: The CFPW 2012 is interested in hiring a competent team to work for this year’s runway events and is seeking flexible Hair and Make-Up professionals who are flexible and can work well in high-pressure, backstage environments.

If you are a plus-size consumer who has a passion
for fashion and designer products, but find it difficult to access quality
brands and services, this is the event for you. Volunteers are also welcome
through the CFPW Curve Vibes volunteer organization. For more information on

CFPW 2012 will also host fashion and beauty culture
seminars at Cascadia hotel, which will be crafted to address the many requests
that have come from the plus-size market for services and products from the
Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle industries. Some exciting international guests
may also be featured!
The CFPW 2012 embraces and incubates colour and
creativity, and each event to come has a distinct flare for the theatrical.
