Filmmakers!!! Can I have a minute of your time? iEcore cgi brings to you the first ever Caribbean One-Minute Mobile Film Festival from September 6th to 9th, 2012. This festival hones on the creative skills of budding filmmakers and enthusiasts in the Caribbean and gives them the opportunity to showcase their best work to members of the international film industry. The launch will be held in Trinidad and Tobago.
From April 15 to July 1 iEcore cgi would be accepting submissions of up to three 60 second short film, shot with a mobile phone. Each submission is 20 USD.
From July 2nd to August 4th a distinguished international panel of judges will review the films submitted and short list the best 15 in each of the six categories below:
Categories:
1. Best Film
2. People’s Choice
3. Best Director
Special Categories:
1. Best One-Minute Film with animation*
2. Best One-Minute Black and White Film
3. Best Secondary School Film
*This category is open to animation students and animators who have graduated within the last three years.
During the week of August 4th through August 8th the judges’ recommendations will be posted on the Facebook page for viewers to vote by clicking the ‘Like’ tab. The mobile film with the most ‘Likes’ will win the People’s Choice Award.
