What does Valentine’s Day mean to you?
alentine's Day,
traditionally the day that lovers declare their love for each other and this
attracts different ways of expressing ones love or one’s feelings. For some people,
it’s the gifts that define the love in the relationship to others, it's the
gestures and the words that they say and hear that really makes it feels like a
special day.
On the other hand, there are those who believe it’s the perfect opportunity to see how much they mean to their partner, some of these people just want to know that they are appreciated and need to be reminded that there is some love there, and some just want to celebrate what they already have. Commonly there are also the defining moments that only a day like Valentine’s Day can quite send the message that you want to send as it is often quite clear. This is probably related to secret crushes and lopsided lovers who just don’t get it; it’s often at this point that they realize that they are alone in their relationship or that there might be the possibility of a new relationship.

Apart from all the
traditions behind Valentine’s Day does any of these gestures really help the
relationship or make it better and do these things really need a special day in
the year to be expressed. According to several ladies, the strength of
one’s relationship is not what happens on Valentine’s Day but what happens
after Valentine’s Day and for the rest of the year. They believe that if
there is the existence of love in the relationship, then it should be expressed
daily instead of annually. They are also of the opinion that the relationship
should not be evaluated based on the gestures that were and were not made on
this day, but rather on the connection and compatibility of two people in love
and the way that both of them feel comfortable expressing their love and
believe it or not people do have different ways of expressing their feelings
for each other it might be the way he brushes away her hair to stare into
her eyes or the way they hug like a grizzle bear, or maybe even the little
things they do together and the internal jokes that they share as a couple.

The questions that one
should ask his/her self this Valentine’s Day are, am I doing this because I
love and I genuinely want to share? Or am I doing it because I feel obligated
to do it?
If you decide to share
this valentine’s day share on the note of pure (unconditional) love and not on
the note of conditional love that is when you find yourself loving because of…
With the traditions of
Valentine’s Day it’s a special day where people celebrate love and embrace each
other’s feelings and engage in romantic affairs with that special person, it’s
hard not to oblige in these traditions especially if you are currently in love.
However you decide to spend your day on the fourteenth of February,
whether its evaluating love or discovering love or just celebrating what you
already have, be honest about it and make it as meaningful as possible and for
those of you that will be getting gifts and confetti’s for your lovers,
sometimes it’s the small things that leave a lasting impression and just the
thought that counts.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
