Nicki Minaj showed up on the Grammy red carpet in a Versace red hooded gown accompanied by a guest dressed as the Pope.

"It was the egg moment of the year," the commentators on E! said, referencing Lady Gaga's infamous arrival at the 2011 ceremony.

Rihanna wore an Armani custom-made black dress featuring a plunging neckline that is complimented by a high slit, a dramatically open back and a mermaid silhouette cascading into an elegant train.

"This is a collaboration between Mr. Armani and myself," the 23-year-old told E! News' Ryan Seacrest. "I wanted something a little bit like Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface."
