Miss Jamaica World 1995, Imani Duncan-Price sworn in as Government senator

Another former beauty queen, has joined the political area, this time Miss Jamaica World 1995 Imani Duncan-Price, who was yesterday sworn in as Government senator of the People's National Party (PNP).

Mrs Price is a graduate of the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government , and up to   recent was the Group Marketing Manager at JMMB, but  resigned so that her appointment to the Upper House of Parliament would not have a negative impact on JMMB.

Imani who is no stranger to politic, as she had previously served as  Dr Omar Davies' campaign manager during his bid to become president of the People's National Party in 2005.

Her father Dr D K Duncan was also sworn yesterday as member of parliament for Eastern Hanover.


Fellow beauty queen former Miss Jamaica World ,and Miss World Lisa Hanna, was also recently appointed Minster of Youth and Culture.
