Is the Hair Salon Women " Sacred Haven" to Gossip?

Over the years we have grown to realize the myth associated with the hair salon and how how women behave there. We have heard about how women totally let go once inside their sacred haven. Gossip seems to be one of the main associated topics in the hair salon. But what are the reasons for this  and to what extent is this  true? Do women transform into a gossip monster when they enter the hair salon?  

One of the greatest pleasures of a woman is to have someone comb their hair. It can then be concluded that with every stroke of a comb or brush, a woman gets more and more relaxed while her hair is being combed. And with relaxation comes a certain amount of freedom and trust. Freedom to express their opinions, and trust, that it will go no further than the hair salon's walls. There is also the possibility where they feel safe to discuss their inhibitions without the judgement of "mankind".

Ms Clarke, expressed that woman do feel free in the hair salon simply because its one of the few, if not the only place, where they can show their natural identity, without the weaves and make up. So if they are able to take off all the man made attributes, its only natural that they show their true colours. Away from the eyes of men they are in their truest form in the hair salon.  Many person understand the freedom but others are still skeptic of why women are compelled to talk so openly in the salon. Traditionally it is a bonding experience normally shared by mothers and daughters. The act without a doubt brings persons closer together. Since women are known to pride their appearance, whoever combs your hair must be one that you trust above anything else. After all they are supposed to make you look your best.

While some women confide in their hairdressers right away others take a different approach where the trust comes after the hairdresser proves herself worthy and then the clients declare safety. At the end of the day however it can only be a good thing to have a healthy relationship with that person who grooms your hair one of the most prized possessions of the everyday women.
