Meet the contestants
Age 23
Bio: Gillian has a degree in hospitality and tourism management. She speaks Papiamento, English, Dutch and Spanish. Hobbies include: yoga, fitness, samba and volunteering at her local aids awareness organisation. Gillain hopes to one day open her own nutrition centre in Aruba.

Bio:Sasha is a Graduate of Business Administration and Management and aspires to open her own after school community centre. Sasha was the founder of her University’s International student organisation and has represented the Bahamas at International track and field competitions.

Bio:Taisha describes herself as extremely creative and aspires to become an architect and interior designer. She hopes to design large scale buildings in Barbados to boost her country’s tourism. Hobbies include: art, dancing, drama and poetry. Taisha has five dogs, a tortoise and a stray cat.

Bio: Jana has an undergraduate degree in Psychology. She is a keen equestrian and has taken part in several show jumping competitions. In her spare time Jana volunteers at a local riding centre.

Bio: Monifa is currently studying for a degree in International Law. She enjoys all types of dance, in particular salsa, ballet, modern jazz, hip-hop, meringue and bachata. She describes herself as hardworking and motivated and hopes to become a successful business woman in the near future.

Bio:Marianly is currently studying for a degree in architecture. Her hobbies include: reading, volleyball, tennis, yoga, dancing and playing the guitar. Marianly’s proudest moment was moving to Kentucky for a year, at the age of 10, to learn English. She describes herself as determined and independent.

Bio:Violaine has a bachelor degree in geography and her future ambition is to become a journalist or producer. Her hobbies include: art, reading, travelling and visiting museums.

Bio: Arti has a degree in Biology and Chemistry and hopes to run her own medical practice which provides support to poverty stricken areas across the world. Hobbies include: listening to music, dancing, travelling, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Arti’s personal motto is: ‘it is better to try and fail, than to fail to try.’

Bio:Danielle graduated from University with a bachelor degree in International Relations. She is currently a part-time teacher and volunteers at a children’s home. Hobbies include: painting, reading, tennis, boating and listening to music. Danielle has recently been accepted to the University of the West Indies to pursue her Masters degree in education.

Bio:Axelle is currently studying computer science at University and hopes to complete a masters degree in engineering. Her hobbies include: drawing, horse riding and spending time with her two brothers and the family’s two dogs.

Bio: Gabriela is studying marketing and media communications at University and hopes to specialise in multimedia so that one day she can create her own enterprise. Gabriela loves Mexican and Japanese food and enjoys taking part in folkloric traditional dance competitions in her spare time.

Bio: Amanda is in the process of completing a degree in comparative literature. Her future ambitions are to complete a PHD in literature and have an anthology of poems published. Hobbies include dancing, keeping active and eating her mother’s home cooking.

Bio:Johanna has a bachelor degree in Journalism. Her future ambition is to have her own new and exciting TV show which is aired around the world. Her hobbies include: dance, reading and listening to music. Johanna’s favourite food is Lobster and she describes herself as somebody full of dreams and ambition.

Bio: Lee-Ann is currently pursuing her BSc in Geography and the Environment with the University of London through their International Program. In her spare time she enjoys taking part in jazz and modern contemporary dance classes. Other passions include animals, in particular horses.

Bio:Esonica hopes to complete a degree in fashion merchandising so that she can achieve her dream of one day designing and selecting fashion for Vogue. Hobbies include: dancing, singing, reading and spending time with friends at the beach. Esonica describes herself as an outgoing individual, who enjoys life to the fullest.
